West Virginia State Folk Festival
Glenville, WV
 

The WV Folk Festival at Glenville State College in Glenville, WV is the longest running folk festival in the state, and each year presents many of the legends in West Virginia music in free preformances during the three days of the festival.

This year's event is June 19-21, and the oral traditions tent has performances on the 20th-21st. In addition to music and storytelling, many of the storytellers, poets, and musicians will have cds, books, and other items for purchase.
 
Storytellers scheduled to appear: Susanna "Granny Sue" Holstein, Fred Powers, Suzy "Mama" Whaples, Ilene Evans, & Rich Knoblich.
