Martha Harrison

Martha hails from Berkley Springs, WV, where she shares a cabin in woods with her husband, two sons and a dog named Buster. Martha believes that storytelling, in addition to being entertaining, encourages children to read and tell stories of their own.

She says this practice improves speech and communication skills while also strengthening cooperative problem-solving and peace-making skills. Martha has been telling and collecting stories since she learned to talk. She tells stories of travel from New England to California, Central America, Kenya, and places in between. Her favorite stories come from her own backyard and dinner table.
